If you are prone to acne or suffer from greasy, scaly skin, then you may like to consider an acnelan peel.

What Is An Acnelan Peel?

An acnelan peel is a medical method for intensive treatment of acne-prone and seborrheic skin.

Acne is a very common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles and their associated oil glands become blocked and inflamed.

Similarly, seborrheic skin is inflammation that usually occurs on areas of the body where there are a greater number of oil glands, including the face, scalp and trunk. It is generally caused by an abnormal immune response against a fungal yeast organism called Malassezia, which is found on the healthy skin of all people and is usually present in greater numbers on the areas of the body that produce the most oil.

How Does It Work?

An acnelan peel works by deep cleansing blocked pores and removing impurities, with the aim of improving the overall texture of your skin.

At DermCosmesis, our acnelan peel involves three clinical treatments delivered four weeks apart. You can see the results of an acnelan treatment in the before and after images of one of our clients below.

Depending on your individual requirements, we are also able to provide you with a range of products to use at home to further treat your condition.

Post care treatment

After each treatment, it is important that patients stay away from sun exposure, active skin care ingredients and swimming in water treated with chemicals for 48 hours, so as not to cause irritation.
